This set was cute enough for me to break my rule about buying from online retailers that don't have product measurements and full cash refunds. Here's what I wish I'd known before I sacrificed my money and principles lol:
1. The raw/crisscross portions are kind of see through. Kind of like black tights when stretched and held up to light, the outline and colors of things can be seen through those portions.
2. The elastic only goes about 3/4 of the way around the waistband making for a very weird fit. If you have any booty back there, it's going to pull the elastic down and look like baby clothes over a full diaper. If you have any kind of tummy it's kind of the same just on the front. Slightly unflattering either way.
3.The pants are cut straight through the hip/thigh, so not really complimentary of curvier bodies.
Pros: The set really is cute and the matching top covers up most of the weirdness with the waistband, front and back, and the snugness of the thighs. It is definitely tall girl friendly as I would only wear heels with these.
For added context, I'm 5'9, 163lbs, and my measurements are 37-29-42. I'm muscular on the bottom (thick hips, thighs, and legs) and have a little PCOS pouch on the tummy. I normally would have gotten a Large, but they are sold out in that size so, I went with the Medium.
